I Never Prayed For My Sons to Become Pastors- Oyedepo.
In the morning session of the ongoing yearly program, Shiloh 2019, tagged Breaking limits, the presiding bishop of the Living Faith Church, worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo; emphasized that he didn’t force them or indulge them to join him in his ministry work.
He made this statement when he was about to usher in his biological son, Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr to share the word with the members this morning.
He said,
“I never forced any of my children to join me in ministry, I never prayed for them to be pastors.”
The chancellor of Covenant University noted that their call into ministry came naturally. According to him, when his first son was born, he asked God about what he would become, and God said, “Another warrior is born.”
Oyedepo’s sons are pastors in the Living Faith Church. His First son David is the resident pastor at the living faith church Ota; while his second son, also heads another branch of the church.
His first daughter is married to a pastor in the Living faith church and she also has her diverse ministry programs.
Also, his last daughter, Joys hosts a program called the woman of the God kind that attracts attendance from people all over the world.
Bishop David Oyedepo also urged parents not to manipulate the lives and destinies of their children. He noted that he never refused any woman that he sons brought home to marry because God never said ”No” to their choice of a life partner. He also advised the congregation to ensure that their walk with God is genuine.
