Lenten Season 2020: Catholics Adorns In Black As Solidarity Against Incessant killings In Nigeria….

Ash Wednesday Signifies the begining of Lent. It is indeed a solemn period of soul searching of Prayers, Good deeds and Fasting. We are told that we should always Remember, FROM DUST WE WERE MADE AND DUST WE SHALL RETURN. (Essence Of the Ashes On Foreheads)
This year’s Ash Wednesday 2020 is Quite different as Catholics in Nigeria adorns in Black to mourn & identify with the Victims of incessant killings & to stand against kidnappings which is going on in the country daily..

The Incessant killings of people especially the Christain fold have become One too Many except one is being Economical with the Truth.
The Catholic faithfuls in Nigeria are speaking in one voice this Lenten season to the Government of the day to find a lasting solution to the Menace of Boko Haram, Banditry, Herdsmen & Kidnappers which has become a nightmare ravishing the nation.

Lastly my dear friends as we Journey with Christ through this Season of Lent, We implore you, LET YOUR HEARTS BE BROKEN, NOT YOUR GARMENTS TORN… Joel 2: 12- 18.
Peace Be with You All..🙏
