Promise Kept As Trump’s Adminstration Handover Ventilators To Nigeria.

United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary  Leonard, will on Tuesday hand over some ventilators to the Federal Government.

This is coming three months after the US President Donald Trump pledged to send the medical equipment to assist Nigeria with the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

He made the pledge on April 28 during a telephone conversation with the President, Major General, Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), where they also discussed efforts by both nations to curb the COVID-19 pandemic.

The US embassy in an invite on Friday said the ventilators would be presented to officials at the Premier Medical warehouse, 97 Cadastral Zone, opposite EFCC headquarters, Abuja.

β€œDonation of these new, leading-edge American-made ventilators and medical accessories is part of the comprehensive US assistance effort to help Nigeria combat the coronavirus pandemic,” it read
